Matty T's Roadhouse has been open since 1972. In the early days, many will remember that there was a horseshoe bar and hardly a dancer in sight.
With the emergence of line dancing in the 90's, dancing became an important part of country nightlife. Therefore, we got rid of the horseshoe bar and put in a dance floor. Now, when you come in, there are dancers tearing up the floor, patrons at the bar enjoying their favorite beverage, and others just watching and listening to the great live bands that perform each Friday & Saturday Night. Cowboy boots and hats fill the room, but we have people of all genres, color and generations.

Matty T's has played host to a great number of artists from Nashville. Included, are the likes of Keith Urban, Craig Morgan, Mark Chesnutt, The Warren Brothers, Billy Ray Cyrus, Mark Wills, BR-549 and many more!!
When you come in, check out the memorabilia on the walls such as Keith Urban's guitar from his show here. Most stuff is autographed by the artist.
Billy Ray Cyrus
- Bryan White
- Mark Chesnutt
- Mark Wills
- BR5-49
And most recently, Sarah Darling has performed on our stage.
There is a Rockabilly Night on the last Saturday of each month. It is definitely an electrifying night. The swing dancers come out and give the dance floor and amazing amount of energy. Roy Wilson is the coordinator for Rockabilly events at Matty T's & has done an excellent job of bringing in the best bands around.
An interesting fact about Matty T's Roadhouse is that Matty's father first opened at this location as a restaurant. After a year, he heard Country music on the radio, came home and told his wife that he was turning the restaurant in to a country bar.
Since that day, Matty T's has been and will always be..... Long Island's Original Honky Tonk!
